It isdesigned for individual or group use, with the ideal being to train insmall groups. This approach allows practitioners to reflect on theirown practice, share their experiences, and discuss how to apply whatthey are learning. A suggested format for training is included in thepackage. The AFTC includes a manual on skill-building for practitioners, withspecific examples of how to engage fathers; a video of best practice,featuring practitioners sharing their experiences in working withfathers; and information for administrators, including recommendedagency policies and competency levels for engaging fathers and findingsfrom a three-year research project on engaging and involving fathers intheir children’s lives.
